Who doesn't love a tray of satisfying pastels and crayons?

Theres something deeply wonderful about seeing colour in this form and this workshop will guide you through the process of making some of your own pigments, which you can easily modify into a range of tones and colours.

Using a variety of binders, you can see and feel the difference in various types of pastels and crayons and by the end of the workshop, you will have plenty you will have made to take home with you. These would make wonderful festive gifts to yourself, or for a loved one.

As a materials heavy workshop, these workshop would usually have a materials surcharge, however as this is an Old Mill first, we are waving the surcharge and keeping to a small group size so this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Every workshop at The Old Mill begins with a hot drink of your choice including specialist coffees, and home baked biscuits. We hope that our workshops are a real treat for yourself or a loved one, as well as a rich learning experience.
